Signed lower right. With inscription by a hand other than that of the artist on mounting. On brown toned laid paper. 30 : 44,3 cm (11,8 : 17,4 in), size of sheet.

Emil Nolde created a number of studies in Berlin night bars, cabarets, dance halls and theatres in winter 1910/11 to which this sheet also belongs. [KD]
Firmly mounted. Slightly discoloured. With small tear in upper centre. Upper margin and lower right corner minimally wavy, presumably due to the paper.
