• The colorful, large-format figure representations by Elvira Bach celebrate a self-confident, emancipated type of woman.
• With her portraits of women Elvira Bach achieved international fame as early as in the 1980s.
• In the 1980s, she and Rainer Fetting, Salomé, Luciano Castelli and Helmut Middendorf belonged to the inner circle of Berlin's "Junge Wilde".
• In 1982 she took part in documenta 7 in Kassel.
• Today the artist's work is represented in important collections, among them the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Deutsche Bank Collection and the Städtische Galerie, Wolfsburg.
