• From the renowned Collection Dr. Frédéric Bauer, Davos (Kirchner's personal physician).
• Part of the same private collection for almost 60 years.
• The painting "Zirkusreiterin" (1912/13, Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich) also used to be part of the Collection Dr. Frédéric Bauer, Davos.
• In 1952/53 there watercolor and the painting were shown together at, among others, the Haus der Kunst, Munich, and the Haus am Waldsee, Berlin
