Ceramics. White sherd with engobe- and scratch decor, enamelled.
Ramié 2. Base numbered and with stamps "Madoura plein feu" and "Edition Picasso". From an edition of 200 copies. 31 x 38.5 cm (12.2 x 15.1 in). [SM].

• It was only in later years, from 1946 onwards, that Picasso found ceramics as a painting surface for his characteristic, abstract figurations.
• The extensive and very diverse ceramic oeuvre created between 1948 and 1971 reveals Picasso's wealth of ideas and joy in artistic experimentation
