• It was only in later years, from 1946 onwards, that Picasso found ceramics as a painting surface for his characteristic, abstract figurations.
• The extensive and very diverse ceramic oeuvre created between 1948 and 1971 reveals Picasso's wealth of ideas and joy in artistic experimentation.
