• The dynamic pointed trees, mountains and cloud formations are a marvelous document of Heckel's expressionist pictorial language.
• Erich Heckel, along with Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff and Fritz Bleyl, was among the founding members of the expressionist artist group "Brücke"
.

The work is registered at the archive of the Erich Heckel Estate, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance.
