• Large-size atmospheric landscape depcition with a mystic mountain panorama.
• The dynamic pointed trees, mountains and cloud formations are a marvelous document of Heckel's expressionist pictorial language.
• Erich Heckel, along with Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff and Fritz Bleyl, was among the founding members of the expressionist artist group "Brücke".
The work is registered at the archive of the Erich Heckel Estate, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance.
PROVENANCE: From the artist's estate.
EXHIBITION: Landesmuseum Schleswig (1978-2012 as permanent loan from the estate).
