• Fascinating contrast between the flowers' bright colors and the space's earthen void, as well as between impasto and thin painting.
• Fußmann is a master of still lifes: Apart from bright flower stil lifes he also created kitchen still lifes characterized by a scant clarity.
• In 2013 the Osthaus Museum in Hagen showed a grand retrospective exhibition on occasion of the artist's 75th birthday.

In very good condition. With an unobtrusive capillary scratch, presumably from the making, in bottom right.
