• Wonderful work from the small but high-quality oeuvre of the rediscovered Rhenish Expressionist Hanns Bolz.
• Bolz's paintings were exhibited at the leading avant-garde galleries of Alfred Flechtheim in Düsseldorf and Hans Goltz in Munich, and were also shown at Herwarth Walden's legendary "Erster Deutscher Herbst Salon" (1913) in Berlin.
• As the artist had destroyed some of his works before his early death and had also stipulated the destruction of other works in his will, only a few works have survived.
• To date only 14 further paintings by the artist have been offered on the international auction market (www.artnet.de).
