• Airy bright composition, which, owing to the close-up depiction, unfolds an expressive play of forms and colors that almost has an abstract effect
• Typical expressionistic depiction characterized by a fascinating interplay of black contours and airy colors
• Family-owned since making.
The work is registered at the archive of the Karl and Emy Schmidt-Rottluff Foundation Berlin. We are grateful to Mrs Christiane Remm for her kind support in cataloging this lot.
PROVENANCE: Family of Otto Mueller, Berlin (in 1968 obtained as present from the artist in on occassion of the birth of Mueller's granddaughte, ever since family-owned).
