Verso with the estate stamp of the Kunstmuseum Basel (Lugt 1570 b) and with the hand-written registration number "K Dre/Bc 1". Verso also inscribed "K 8727", presumably by a hand other than that of the artist. On creme wove paper. 52.6 x 42.9 cm (20.7 x 16.8 in), the full sheet. [CH].
• Part of the comprehensive exhibition and research project "Making Van Gogh" at the Frankfurt Städel Museum in 2019/2020.
• One of the artist's larger charcoal drawings.
• Kirchner's variation of the iconic mpotif of the sower in van Gogh's characteristic brushwork.
