Homage to the Square. 1962.
Oil on fiberboard with canvas structure.
Lower right monogrammed "A" and dated. Verso with hand-written annotations on the composition's arrangemente and the paint application. 45.5 x 45.5 cm (17.9 x 17.9 in). [JS].

• Lovely composition consisteing warm shades of cobalt yellow, ochre and gold-green with a bright center.
• From the famous series "Homage to the Square" which laid the foundation for the international acclaim of the Bauhaus artist.
• A similar work from the series "Homage to the Square" in likewise green and yellow combination is in possession of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York
.

The work is registered at the archive of the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation Bethany, Conneticut. The work will be included into the forthcoming catalog raisonné.
