The work offered here was made in Purrmann's studio in his house on Lake Constance in 1935. The artist bought the house in October 1919 and regularly spent the summers together with his family there. [CH].
Originally present from the artist for Polyxena Hardt, wife of the writer Ernst Hardt.
Ever since in possession of the family.
The work is registered at the archive with the number 1156.
PROVENANCE: Polyxena Hardt, neé von Hösslin (Berlin 1872-1960), first wife of the writer Ernst Hardt (obtained as present from the artist).
Private collection Bavaria (inherited from aforementioned in 1960, since in possession of he family).
