Lenz/Billeter 1936/09. Signed in lower right. 55 x 46.4 cm (21.6 x 18.2 in).
The painting was made around 1930, presumably in Berlin where Purrmann resided right above the gallery of Alfred Flechtheim on Lützowufer 13. [CH].
• Originally a present from the artist for Polyxena Hardt, wife of the writer Ernst Hardt. Ever since it has been in possession of the family.
The work is registered at the archive with the number 1155.

PROVENANCE: Polyxena Hardt, neé von Hösslin (Berlin 1872-1960), ´first wife of the writer Ernst Hardt (obtained as present from the artist).
Private collection Bavaria (inerited from aforementioned in 1960, since in possession of the family).
