• Harmonious composition in glowing dark colors.
• With the fruit still lives from the days of the Meditations Jawlensky underwent a significant artistic process.
• Important step in the development to the still lives of the late 1930s that were made in the style of the Meditations
• Another fruit still life from the time (around 1931) is in the Museum Wiesbaden (CR 1383)
