95 x 87 cm (37.4 x 34.2 in). Objektkasten: 112 x 101 x 5 cm ( 44,1 x 39,7 x 1,9 in).
For this work Herbert Zangs applied the paint onto the rear so that the structure of the paint pushing through to the other side becomes the work's subject. He develops the idea of his works on burlap from the 1950s by making the the structure of the canvas,visble instead of covering it. In her expertise Emmy de Martelaere mentions that the work's two sides are two independent works. [EH].
