This work originates from the late period of creation of the great light and fire artist Otto Piene. This is yet another example of the multifaceted dialog between work and title. The famous technique, which Piene mastered with perfection, leads to another perfect figurative result that plastically occupies a prominent position in the center of this work. The encrusted part bulges out towards the observer, gloomy and bursting with meaning, evoking associations with the force of nature. The title "Wandel" (Change) hints at the fire's transformatory energy. In a few yellow spots of light Piene suggests a new beginning and closes the eternal cycle of growth and decay
