Whenever Joan Miró stayed in Paris he worked with the printer Robert Dutrou, who was director of Maeght's printshop in the 1960s. Both artist and printer were likewise interested in the opportunities that the etching technique offered. They experimented with different methods and attained a great simplicity of the line. [EH/JA]
