Schellmann 86-90. Each signed, dated with original date of making and numbered. From an edition of 50 Roman numbered copies. On wove paper by BFK Rives (each with watermark). 50.2 x 65 cm (19.7 x 25.5 in), size of sheet.
The sheets were executed as hand-made prints from printing blocks cut between 1948 and 1961. Printed by Franz Joseph van der Grinten, Gaesdonck and released by Propyläen Verlag, Berlin.
Contains the following sheets: Hirschkuh, Wattenmeer, Gletscher, Esse und Bein
The portfolio was released for the de-luxe edition A of the book: "Joseph Beuys Bleistiftzeichnungen aus den Jahren 1946-1964", released by Franz Joseph van der Grinten and Hans van der Grinten, with a preface by Heiner Bastian, Frankfurt am Main - Berlin - Vienna 1973. [AP].
