Just as it is the case with the gouache by Fritz Stuckenberg offered in this auction, the artist‘s finesse in flower arrangements becomes clear once more. What is particularly appealing is the color contrast between a rather subdued background and the splendid and lucent blossoms and leaves as well as the formal variants, that show in the nicely executed vase and the parts where leaves and blossoms are just hinted at. Like in the artist’s other work we offer, this work shows likewise abstract tendencies. [KP].
