Hans Stocker lived and worked in, among others, in Paris and Basle where he became established as a renowned artist of Expressionism. The trained art smith was initiator and member of numerous influential artist groups - among others, he was member of the second generation of the group "Rot-Blau" which in the late 1920s succeeded the initial formation with artists such as Hermann Scherer and Paul Camenisch. Among his main works are the glass windows for the Basle 'Antoniuskirche', made in the 1920s together with his brother. Hans Stocker died in his hometown Baslew in 1983. [KP].
