Bronze with dark brown patina.
Schubert 12 B (of C II 2). With name on plinth, with foundry mark: "Bronceguss v. B. Förster Düsseldorf" on rear of plinth. Ca. 64,5 x 37 x 27 cm (25,3 x 14,5 x 10,6 in).
Presumably cast before 1910. First casts of the the bathing woman were made as early as in 1902, our date, according to Prof. Schubert, can be ascribed because of the foundry mark, which can be found on other works from those days.

Accompanied by an expertise issued by Prof. Dr. Dietrich Schubert, Heidelberg, dated 22 October 2002, confirming that this copy is "an authentic, original work by Lehmbruck".

PROVENANCE: Private collection Southern Germany.
