Dube L 47. Schiefler L 18. Signed and inscribed "Handdruck". Monogrammed in stone. One of presumably five to seven hand proofs. On firm light gray paper. 40,3 x 33 cm (15,8 x 12,9 in)Sheet: 48 x 40,8 cm (18,8 x 16 in).
"Usually Kirchner worked with feather, brush or [- as it is the case here -] chalk right on the stone. Just a few sheets were made on spirit duplicator copy paper. Together with Erich Heckel Kirchner developed a method to make impressions from the stobne by hand. The editions werer rarely above five to seven copies." (Translation from A. and W.-D.
