Bergsee vor blauen Gipfeln. 1910/20er Jahre.
Good overall impression. With minor mount staining. Edges with a few tiny blemishes and splits respectively. The reverse of the upper edge with remains of an old mount, minimally overlapping. Corners partly with minor crease marks. With minor vertical traces of rubbing.
Coloured chalk.
Monogrammed upper right. With the estate stamp on the reverse. On light grey paper. 34,3 : 49 cm (13,5 : 19,2 in), the full sheet. From 1905 Käthe Loewenthal regularly visited the Bernese Oberland, where she did landscape studies of the mountain scenery. In the present work, the artist has concentrated on rendering the outline of the mountains in a delicate tracery of line standing out in crisply contrasting light blue and black against a valley floor left virtually undefined.
