Monogrammed and dated lower right. 53 : 42 cm (20,8 : 16,5 in). Early work by the Czech painter, who studied under Anselm Feuerbach in Vienna at the time of the painting's creation. [MD]

Several smaller retouches, mainly in the upper margin. Occasional minor colour loss and small rubbing marks. The upper and lower margin of the canvas mounted on a stretcher (lengthened with wooden lands).
