• Energy, vitality, and force: the unmistakable hallmarks of Brüning’s painting.
• Brüning was one of the leading figures of German Informel.
• In 1959, 1964, and 1968, he participated in documenta II, III, and 4 in Kassel.
• In the same family collection for 35 years.
• Works by Peter Brüning are included in, among others, the Sammlung Ludwig in Aachen, the Osthaus Museum in Hagen, and the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart.
