Signed and numbered. Illegibly inscribed on the reverse. The catalogue raisonné lists 14 copies, 8 of which are in public collections. On structured wove paper. 38 x 53 cm (14.9 x 20.8 in). Sheet: 47,7 x 64 cm (18,7 x 25,1 in).

• Rare lithograph by Edvard Munch, in which his characteristic combination of psychological depth and expressive lines fully unfolds.
• Depiction of the recurring motif of women on the bridge, a key theme in Munch's oeuvre, symbolizing the transition between youth and adulthood, closeness and alienation.
• Further prints are in renowned museums such as the Munch Museum, Oslo, the Städtische Kunsthalle, Mannheim, and the Kupferstichkabinett, Berlin.
