Inscribed “Flächenrelief b/64” in handwriting on the reverse of the canvas and inscribed with the numbers “WV 6/173” and “Lf. Nr. 126” on the stretcher. 115 x 81 cm (45.2 x 31.8 in).

• He took part in documenta III in Kassel in the year he painted this work.
• Offered on the international auction market for the first time.

In good condition. A few small areas of paper loss in the upper left corner. The paper is also slightly detached from the canvas in this area, but is stable overall. The paper is slightly browned in places. The condition report was prepared in daylight and with the aid of a UV light source to the best of our knowledge and belief.
