On the bottom of the inside with the artist's stamp and the date “03”. Unique objectt. Height, including base: 184 cm (72.4 in). D iameter ca.: 92 cm (36,2 in).
The base measures 79 x 40 x 40 cm (31.1 x 15.7 x 15.7 in), base and sculpture are firmly connected. [CH].
• His occupation with the works of Jean Arp, Max Bill, and Constantin Brancusi, Josef Staub discovered chrome steel as a material for his artistic creations.
• Staub constructs geometric abstract figures from lines and surfaces, forming knotted bands and infinite loops.
• “Jupiter” is one of the artist's last works, completed before his death in 2006.
• The artist's works can be found in the Lucerne Art Museum, on the Rössliwiese and in front of the Herti Center in Zug, and on Hardplatz in Zurich.
