• Impressive self-portrait from Bernhard Heisig's late creative period.
• The artist is one of the protagonists of the Leipzig School.
• In 1977 he took part in documenta 6 in Kassel.
• Works by Heisig can be found in numerous important collections like the Berlinische Galerie, Berlin, the Hamburger Kunsthalle and the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main.
PROVENANCE: Private collection Berlin.
In good condition, colors in fine impression. Very isolated slight spots of craquelure in impasto areas. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of our knowledge.
