• Magnificent, large-format still life in Böckstiegel's characteristic, vibrant and luminous colors.
• Light and color as expressive means of pictorial design are decisive for his entire oeuvre.
• From 1919-1920 Böckstiegel was a member of the artists' group “Dresdner Sezession Gruppe 1919” around Conrad Felixmüller and Otto Dix, and subsequently became a member of the Dresdner Künstlervereinigung and the Deutscher Künstlerbund
.

PROVENANCE: Private collection, Baden-Württemberg (presumably directly from the artist).
Family-owned ever since.
