• Excellent provenance from the Collection Konrad and Annalise Hager, Hamburg, who were close friends of the artist.
• For the first time offered on the international auction market.
• As of 1925 Hofer went to the Ticino regularly, for some time he owned a house on Lake Lugano - it was his artistic retreat.
• One of the few Ticino landscapes in which Hofer opens up the view across the lake from an elevetad point of view.
• Especially during the days of defamation under the Nazis and the terrible loss of his studio in an air raid in 1943, Hofer recovered in the mountain landscape.
Accompanied by a written confirmation from the Karl Hofer Committee from April 6, 2022. The painting is registered in the archive with the number N29.
