Schiefler H 498. Dube H 570 (there dated "1926"). Gercken 1417. Signed and inscribed "Eigendruck". One of three known copies of this print. On Van Gelder laid paper (with the watermark). 44 x 34.2 cm (17.3 x 13.4 in). Sheet: 62,2 x 44,2 cm (24,5 x 17,4 in).

• Copies of this woodcut are extremely rare on the international auction market (source: www.artprice.com).
• Virtuoso depiction of the Sertig Valley, which Kirchner captured in various artistic media after his relocation in 1923.
• In 1924 he made the similar painting "Sertigtal im Sommer" (Gordon 757).
PROVENANCE: Württembergische Staatsgalerie, Stuttgart Kupferstichsammlung (1924-1937), verso with the collection stamp and the ms. inventory number).
State-owned (in 1937 confiscated from the above in context of the "Degenerate Art" campaign, inv. no. 9553).
