• Balkenhol uses traditional tools like gouge, carving knife and beater to form the relief heads from the wood.
• Balkenhol's works are on display at, among others, the Kunsthalle Hamburg, the Museum Ludwig, Cologne, or the Kunstmuseum Basel.
