• Winter landscapes are very rare in Slevogt's oeuvre.
• Winterly forest near Neukastell, where the artist lived on the farmstead 'Slevogthof'.
• Wonderful energetic brushstroke with which Slevogt put the trees' branches and their shade onto the winterly forest.
