• Preliminary watercolor for the painting of the same name (1924).
• Part of an American private collection for more than 50 years.
• Expression of his newly attained Cubist-Expressionist style, which he had only developed and brought to perfection during these years at the Bauhaus in Weimar.
• Through strong and rich colors, small and sophisticated spaces for moon and stars and a delicate burred drawing the artist created a very characteristic townscape.
