Gercken 558 I (of II). Dube L 206. Schiefler L 194. Signed and inscribed "Handdruck". Verso inscribed "L 194 I" by a hand other than that of the artist. One of date five known copies. On firm wove paper by Johannot et Cie. Annonay (with watermark). 42.5 x 31.7 cm (16.7 x 12.4 in). Sheet: 55,5 x 42,8 cm (21,8 x 16,8 in).

• In private Southern German ownership for 30 years.
• One of only two known copies of the first printing state.
• One of the only five known copies is in the Kupferstichkabinett of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden.
• Particularly detailed and complex studio scene from the "Brücke" period.
PROVENANCE: Private collection Southern Germany (since 1990, priorly family-owned).
