• Other still lifes by Karl Hofer are in the collection of, among others, the Nationalgalerie Berlin ('Blumenstillleben', 1944, and 'Stillleben mit Früchten', 1951) as well as the Museum Wiesbaden ('Stillleben mit Ölkanne', 1929).
PROVENANCE: Galerie Kühl, Dresden (between 1934-1945).

Collection Deutsche Bank AG, Frankfurt a. M. (acquired in 1990).
EXHIBITION: Galerie Kühl, Dresden (between 1934-1945, verso of the stretcher with a hand-inscribed gallery label and the address "Kleine Brüdergasse 21". The premises were destroyed in the Dresden Air Raid on February 13, 1945.
