• This drawing was made in Berlin in 1926, where Kirchner was staying during a trip to Germany in 1925/26.
• So far, this drawing has been dated to the Berlin time of the great street scenes around 1914.
• Kirchner uses the impression as a preliminary drawing for the painting “Straße mit Passanten bei Nachtbeleuchtung“ from 1926/27 (Museum Frieder Burda, Baden Baden).
