Verso with the estate stamp of Kunstmuseum Basel (Lugt 1570 b) and hand-written registration number "A Da/Ac 15". On creme wove paper by Sirius (with the blindstamp). 51.2 x 35.9 cm (20.1 x 14.1 in), the full sheet. [CH].
• Ornamental composition of meadow flowers and a small sculpture
• The watercolor was made a preliminary study for two oil painting from 1930/1932, "Wiesenblumen und Katze" (Gordon 955) and "Blumendolden mit Zeitung und Skulpturen" (Gordon 956)
• Another preliminary study is in possession of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart
• From the artist‘s estate
• Part of a private collection for more than 50 years.
The work is registered at the Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Archive, Wichtrach/Bern.
