Heiderich 1855. Verso with inscriptions "1913" and "48 [circled]" as well as inscribed "Constanze" in red. On a sheet from a sketchbook. 16 x 10 cm (6.2 x 3.9 in).
Very likely part of sketchbook no. 48, which the artist was using in Bonn in summer 1913. [JS].
• Marvelously composed drawing from the artist‘s best time
• Airy figure scene in front of a stylized alley, a typical motif in Macke‘s masterworks from 1913/14
• A slight variation of the central figure of the girl with a sunhat can also be found in Macke‘s well-known painting "Mädchen unter Bäumen" (1914, Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich).
