Zweiter Teil des Berichts der beiden russischen Schiffsoffiziere Dawydow und Chwostow über ihre beiden abenteuerlichen Reisen nach Sibirien, den Aleuten und Alaska.
Erste Ausgabe. - Die Reisen führten die russischen Marineoffiziere 1802-04 und 1804-08 im Auftrag der russischen Amerika-Kompagnie über Sibirien zu den russischen Besitzungen in Nord-Amerika und den Aleuten. Der Reiseberichtes wurde posthum von Alexander S. Schischkow vollendet, nachdem Dawydow und Chwostow 1809 nach einer Feier in St. Petersburg in der Newa tragischerweise ertrunken waren. "The printing of this book was begun while Davydov and Khvostov were still alive. However, the accident in which both of them were drowned in the Neva took place before the second chapter was printed. Vice Admiral Shishkin recounted this incident and he also supplied the biographical data regarding these two able and gallant naval officers." (Lada-Mocarsci)
