From 1999 to 2008 Robert Longo was occupied with a cycle of works titled "The Essentials", his artistic account of the creation myth or Genesis. He began with a series of depictions of waves that he described as "Monsters". [CE].
Published by Adamson Editions in an edition of 30 copies. This is a smaller version of the main edition that was released the same year. Longo gave the works to his best friends for Christmas, which explains why copies are rarely offered on the market.
