• Penck on his quest for an artistic identity, still with the early pseudonyms M.H. and T.M.
• Excellent early example of Penck's unmistakable sign language.
• Made in the GDR in clear opposition to the pictorial language of the prevailing Socialist Realism.
• Shown at the artist's first big solo show in Bern in 1975.
