Wellmann 330. Base with name and date as well as with the foundry mark "W. Füssel Berlin 70 [?]". Only known lifetime cast. Ca. 181 x 86 x 65 cm (71.2 x 33.8 x 25.5 in).
This is the only known cast made during Heiliger's lifetime, it was executed by the Charlottenburg foundry Wilhelm Füssel. Füssel, an apprentice at the foundry Noack in 1916, ran his own foundry from 1922 to 1992, which soon became established as one of Berlin's most acclaimed art foundries.
Furthermore, the Bernhard Heiliger Foundation commissioned a numbered posthumous cast from the preserved plaster original, it was excuted by the art foundry Hermann Noack, Berlin.
Only known lifetime cast of this sculpture.
