Signed in lower left and titled in center at bottom. Verso titled and inscribed "Insel 2 Harlem Street", as well as inscribed with the artist's name and with an address stamp. On creme laid paper by Michallet France (with the watermark). 62 x 48.1 cm (24.4 x 18.9 in), size of sheet. [CH].
The work will be included into the forthcoming catalog raisonné of works on paper, compiled by Mr Ralph Jentsch. We are grateful tfor his expert advice.
PROVENANCE: Artist's possession (at least until 1947, verso with the address stamp The Cottage, Huntington, New York).
