Wöbkemeier 21. Signed and dated in lower left, verso signed, dated and titled presumably by a hand other than that of the artist. Verso also twice inscribed with the number "62" on Emil Spaeth's list of pictures, also by a hand other than that of the artist. 60.5 x 35.6 cm (23.8 x 14 in).
This work is also mentioned in the hand-written "Bilderliste" (documenting the early period of Dexel's creation) of Emil Spaeth (an acquaintance of Walter Dexel) from 1915. It carries the entry: "Felsen u. Bäume bei Fischhausen, in Blau u. Gelbgrün. Nadelbäume ragend in die Luft. Stärkster japanischer Einfluss wie überhaupt in dieser Periode. [..] Kontur stark, nach innen in die Helligkeit. Wie die Bäume als feines Filigran gegen die Helligkeit." In the 1960s Dexel examined the list and added his annotations. [CH].
