PROVENANCE: Willy Zügel, artist's eldest son (inscribed with the name on verso of stretcher and the place "Murrhardt").
Presumably: Galerie Commeter, Hamburg (verso of the stretcher with two old fragmentarily preserved labels).
Neumeister, Munich, auction on March 22, 2000, lot 784 (with color illu.).
