Our watercolor likely served as model for a painting in possession of the Messner Mountain Museums, Ortles (cf. Brandes p. 229, illu. 375). Apart from just a few details, the oil on canvas composition matches our watercolor, they differ only in terms of the arrangement of the rooftops in left background as well as the cloud formations.
