Signd in lower right. Verso with hand-written title and inscription "Jos. Wopfner seinem Freund & Landsman[n] Moser Franz'l genan[n]t. 1896. Okt[o]b[e]r." in pencil. 17.6 x 23.9 cm (6.9 x 9.4 in).
Wopfner depicted the motif of fishermen of Chiemsee with the Fraueninsel in background in many variations. Two paintings with similar figure constellation and composition were made between 1885 and 1890 (cf. Holz 160, 252). [FS].
