Signed and dated in lower rigth of image and dedicated in lower center. On wove paper, laid on board. 59.7 x 34.7 cm (23.5 x 13.6 in) , the full sheet. Backing board: 61 x 36,5 cm ( 24 x 14,3 in).
With motifs from a cloth blanket that Heckel designed and which still is part of his estate. Dedicated to his brother- and sister-in-law. [SM].
The work is registered at the Erich Heckel Estate, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Mrs Renate Ebner and Mr Hans Geissler for their kind support in cataloging this lot.
