First and foremost on the drawings: More elongated and more expressive..The line becomes increasingly delicate, harder and more nervous, the characteristic zigzag hatching is more pointed. Even on Fehmarn, where Kirchner lived and worked in the summers from 1912 to 1914, he would experience strong and at times even diffuse nerviness."
